Despite being a bit of a trek on the always-clustered Los Angeles freeways, it's always worth it when you get a chance to watch the Fairfax Tournament. Although Harvey Kitani's Fairfax squad is still in a rebuilding mode, after losing Renardo Sidney and Solomon Hill in 2009, the rest of the field was outstanding.

Standout players

Damiene Cain (North Hollywood, Calif./ Harvard-Westlake)
2011, PF, 6-6, 215 pounds
He got the best of Kevin Johnson (Woodland Hills, Calif./ Taft) in their respective matchup. Cain's post game is polished and he can stick the 3-point shot. He's a prototypical WCC face-up 4-man, but he may go higher.
