As the offseason winds down and two-a-days are scheduled to begin at the start of August, there are only a few 7-on-7 tournaments remaining.
One of those tournaments will be held in Miramar, Fla., on Saturday as 16 teams from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties will vie for the Nike South Florida 7-on-7 championship.
Much of the field was made up through qualifiers held in each county, while some schools like Glades Central (Belle Glade, Fla.) and Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) were added as at-large teams because they had conflicting tournaments to play during the weekend that qualifiers were held.
