Rich Harden unhittable on Monday
Texas Rangers right-hander Rich Harden tossed 6 2/3 hitless innings Monday, ultimately being pulled after throwing his 111th pitch of the night and issuing his fifth walk. Harden (shoulder) was activated off the disabled list before the game. An annual fantasy tease, Harden has been neither durable nor particularly successful this season, with an ERA that dropped Monday to an even 5.00. Be careful with expectations.
New York Yankees right-hander Ivan Nova allowed six hits and two runs in his first major league start Monday. It's unknown when or if Nova will get more starts, but the 23-year-old was 12-3 with a 2.86 ERA at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Because of the team he plays for, those in AL-only formats should hang on to him.
