Colby Rasmus stays hot in September
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Colby Rasmus smacked a pair of home runs Thursday in Atlanta, giving him 21 on the season. Rasmus hadn't homered since Aug. 11, but including Thursday's 4-for-4 effort he's hitting .440 in September. He's been dropped in leagues lately, but that's a mistake.
Atlanta Braves right-hander Jair Jurrjens didn't serve up either of Rasmus' home runs, but he allowed 10 hits and seven runs total in 3 2/3 messy innings. Jurrjens has been erratic, with one quality start in four outings, and his ERA is 4.53. You might want to sit him until he shows positive consistency.
