Seattle Mariners right-hander Felix Hernandez tossed eight innings of one-run ball Thursday, but lost 1-0 because one of the two hits he allowed was a Jose Bautista home run (No. 50!). Hernandez is making a strong case to be fantasy's No. 1 pitcher in the 2011 drafts. Owners should look past his 12-12 record, and focus on the positives.

St. Louis Cardinals rookie Daniel Descalso had four hits Thursday, and for the second consecutive game knocked in a pair of runs. Descalso, a top second base prospect who has been playing third base, should see regular playing time the final weeks. He hit .282 with Triple-A Memphis, and should develop double-digit power soon.
