Hokies land a five-star recruit

SF Dorian Finney-Smith chose the in-state Hokies over Florida and Old Dominion

Five-star SF Dorian Finney-Smith (Portsmouth, Va./Norcom) has committed to the Virginia Tech Hokies, and the No. 15-ranked overall player in the 2011 class instantly becomes coach Seth Greenberg's highest-rated recruit since he took over the job in 2003.

"I chose Virginia Tech because Coach Greenberg recruited me himself," said Finney-Smith, who chose the Hokies over Florida and Old Dominion. "Plus, I wanted to win a national championship in my home state."
