Davide Rebellin suspension backdated
PARIS -- The Monaco cycling federation has confirmed a two-year suspension for Davide Rebellin after the Italian rider tested positive for the banned blood-boosting drug CERA at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Monaco cycling federation president Umberto Langellotti said Friday in an e-mail to The Associated Press that the suspension date was moved back to April 28, 2009, when his positive test was announced.
