Which Steve Smith do I like better?

A year ago at this time, the fantasy football world couldn't stop talking about which of the noteworthy wide receivers named Steve Smith was the better option. Ultimately, both the Carolina Panthers' Steve Smith and the New York Giants' Steve Smith were top-20 options at wide receiver, so fantasy owners couldn't go wrong either way.

But these days, both Steve Smiths have given fantasy owners plenty of reasons to complain. The Panthers version, once a clear-cut top-10 option, is sidelined because of a sprained ankle and probably will miss this week's game. When he does return for Week 7 (after the team's bye week), he will have to trust a rookie quarterback. The Giants' Smith, who blossomed as a point-per-reception monster last season, hasn't scored a touchdown in a mistake-filled passing offense, ranking tied for 36th in standard wide receiver scoring with Danny Woodhead.
