Film Notes: Kevin Kolb matures quickly

After breaking down film, Scouts Inc. gives its take on what to watch in the NFL this weekend: 1. The maturation of Kevin Kolb When the season started, this Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was known as "Checkdown Charlie." It seemed as if, on every pass play, he looked short first, especially to TE Brent Celek as an outlet receiver. If that option was open, he didn't even seem to look deep. In Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons, he looked like a different guy and his deep ball was excellent in velocity and in accuracy. Now, it seems as though Kolb looks deep first, then progresses to his shorter reads. Against Atlanta, there were several times he had those checkdowns available but ignored them to go after a bigger play. His receivers and coaches love this new development, and it's amazing to see the transition he has made in two weeks.
