DeShawn Minnis' recruitment picking up

With Quinn Cook (Hyattsville, Md./Oak Hill Academy) and Ryan Boatright (Aurora, Ill./Aurora East) both reportedly getting closer by the day to ending their respective recruitments (for the second time in Boatright's case), the already small group of available point guards will shrink even more. The bottom line is that there remains many more high-major schools looking for point guards in the Class of 2011 than there are qualified prospects, meaning that a decent amount of guards around the country are likely to see their recruitment pick up in the coming weeks and months. One such player is DeShawn Minnis (Philadelphia, Pa./Atlantic Christian), a 6-foot-3 lead guard with a gear beyond most others. He has the type of upside that is likely to come in high demand before this class has come to an end.
