High-majors taking notice of 2013 prospect

Although Harold Givens (Columbus, Ga./ Northside) is only beginning his sophomore season, but high-major programs are already taking notice of the gifted athlete that many consider the best sophomore in Georgia and one of the top players in the 2013 class. He has most of the SEC and ACC already involved in the recruiting process and has just begun to get scholarship offers as teams try to jockey for position. Auburn coach Tony Barbee has already seen enough talent and potential in the young wing to extend a scholarship offer and there will be many more to follow as more programs get an opportunity to watch him play. Givens catches your eye immediately. He is a long, graceful athlete who looks and moves like an elite basketball player. His game is Harrison Barnes-like in that he plays under control with the ability to score on the low block and is able to stretch the defense behind the arc. He is continuing to improve his perimeter game with his ballhandling and playmaking skills and should develop into an elite-level wing player.
