CHARLESTON, S.C. -- A few quick thoughts from Friday's Charleston Classic semifinals, which set up Sunday night's title game between Georgetown and NC State (7:30 ET, ESPNU):

Georgetown 74, Wofford 59 Poise, poise, poise and more poise is what Georgetown basketball is all about. Before the game, an assistant coach told me the key to the Hoyas' success is the continued development of their low-post players. Well, the first half of Friday's semifinal was dictated by the defensive efforts of Julian Vaughn. His first-half stat line was six points, seven boards and four blocks. The guards executed the game plan on Jamar Diggs fantastically, holding him to five points on 1-of-5 shooting and two turnovers. Clark was literally breathing on his neck on every down screen and was applying constant ball pressure. It just seemed that Wofford was pressured into taking rushed shots, which allowed Georgetown to jump to a 22-8 lead. That is exactly what Coach Mike Young didn't want considering that kind of blitz is what led to his team's demise at both Minnesota and Clemson.
