Randy Tharp on adjusting to fall fronts

The bite was on the first day of the 2008 Bassmaster Southern Open at Lake Guntersville.

"They were biting the best I had ever seen them bite," recalls Randy Tharp, who caught a 29-pound, 6-ounce limit that day on a frog. However, a massive weather front passed through the area that night, and the next day Tharp had to resort to flipping mats to catch a 16-pound limit. On the final day, bass started biting the frog again as Tharp brought a 21-pound bag to the scales to win the tournament.
