Laila Ali needs just 68 seconds for KO
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- With her father and two of his old rivals, Joe Frazier and Ken Norton, watching at ringside, Laila Ali fought for the first time in her hometown. She scored a first-round knockout Thursday night at the Universal Amphitheater.
It took the 22-year-old Ali 68 seconds to dispose of 48-year-old Marjorie Jones, who didn't have a clue.
Ali knocked down Jones three times, the last time with a right to the head. The referee didn't bother to count.
