Hockey game sets new
world record for attendance

On Saturday, 113,411 people gathered at the University of Michigan football stadium to watch the Wolverines take on Michigan State in outdoor hockey -- an event dubbed "The Big Chill at The Big House." The game's attendance set a world record for highest attendance at a hockey game of any kind.

On Saturday 113,411 people gathered at the University of Michigan football stadium to watch the Wolverines take on Michigan State in outdoor hockey -- an event dubbed "The Big Chill at The Big House." The game's attendance not only beat the high for a UMich football game this season, it also set a record for most people ever to witness an NCAA event and a world record for highest attendance at a hockey game of any kind.
