Gators struggle with high expectations
But Florida could rekindle Final Four talk by seizing on a K-State weakness
Florida and Kansas State entered the 2010-11 season with considerable hype and national championship aspirations. But as the two teams prepare to square off Saturday, it doesn't appear either squad is much improved over last season's incarnations.
The Gators have already fallen twice, once to Central Florida, and were chased off the court against Ohio State. Meanwhile, the Wildcats have had a hard time replicating the offensive efficiency they demonstrated in 2009-10. What will this mean for their Saturday showdown? Based on a few key factors, we think even a slightly depleted K-State roster has enough to get past Florida. That said, one critical weakness could tip the scales in the Gators' favor.
