Tavares downplays potential sale of teams

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. -- The Walt Disney Co. isn't close to a deal to sell either the Anaheim Angels or the NHL's Mighty Ducks, the company's executive in charge of the teams said Wednesday.

"I think it's been highly exaggerated," said Tony Tavares, the president of Anaheim Sports Inc., a Disney subsidiary. "It's not actively being shopped."
