Shooting 3s ...

Once you get past the aura of Austin Rivers (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park) and the spunk of Michael Gilchrist (Elizabeth, N.J./St. Patrick), there was an underlying theme at the City of Palms Classic: talent. Sure, the fans in the stands are enamored with the committed seniors. By purchasing a ticket, they get see the next group of stars before the kids alter the shape of the collegiate landscape. However, the readers of this blog, the few, the committed, the recruiting junkies, we want more. Give us more names, you say? To that I say, I will give you the truth in the form of three kids who may one day reconvene in Fort Myers for their own senior sendoff celebration at the City of Palms.

Not all of these guys even start for their respective teams, not yet anyway. But they will make a difference. Heck, they already are. In the St. Patrick's/Mater Dei semifinal game, three freshmen were on the floor at once. Here is our Christmas present to you, our loyal blog readers, a few days in advance of Santa's arrival.
