Combating a caloric catastrophe

I think it's safe to say there's no worse time to start a workout program than the week before Christmas. Never mind the cookies, cakes, ice cream and eggnog beckoning from every room of a house that already smells of cinnamon and spice; the real enemy is time -- or a lack thereof.
