Miami has taken a different direction in recruiting behind new head coach Al Golden and so far it's yielded positive results.

On Friday, Golden received word that defensive back Thomas Finnie (Miami, Fla./Central) was switching his commitment from South Carolina to Florida and it was followed up by commitments from offensive lineman Taylor Gadbois (Dallas, Ga./East Paulding) and defensive end Ricardo Williams (Homestead, Fla./Homestead).

Williams, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound speed rusher, wasn't even on the Hurricanes' radar before Golden arrived, according to head coach Bobby McCray.
