Why Blake Griffin isn't an NBA All-Star starter

Last night, the NBA All-Star starters were announced -- minus Clippers forward Blake Griffin. There's only one reasonable explanation as to why the rookie man-child didn't make the cut.

He doesn't have a cool nickname. Starting for the West you have Black Mamba, The Great Wall, Melo, CP3 and Baby Ice. Where would Blake Griffin fit on a roster filled with such coolness? It's the only thing I can tell myself without losing total faith in the All-Star voting. Full disclosure: I have no faith in the system.
