Bid prescriptions for Michigan State, more

With time running out for teams to make a strong case to the NCAA Selection Committee, here's a deep dive into the most talked-about bubble teams and "what they need" to secure a place in the NCAA tournament.

The numbers to the left of each team represent where they fell on my most recent S-Curve, released to Insiders on Wednesday. Those Bracket Math posts will become daily occurences as we head down the final week leading up to Selection Sunday.

39. Michigan State
The Spartans are suddenly looking good after winning three of four. They sit alone in fourth place in the Big Ten (8-7) and will make the NCAAs by beating Iowa at home and splitting the pair of Purdue (home)/Michigan (away). A 10-8 Big Ten mark with no "bad loss" in the conference tournament will do it for State.
