Turning up the Heat

In the NBA, Orlando conjured up some late-game Magic to beat the Heat at home. In the NFL, as the CBA was set to expire at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, the two sides finally agreed on something -- to extend negotiations. And in women's college basketball, MTSU announced its decision to play in the Sun Belt tournament after their teammate was killed. Here's what else you missed last night.

NBA: The big 3 showed up in Miami Thursday night but not LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. It was Orlando's 3-point shooting that took the spotlight. The Magic beat the Heat 99-96, with 48 of Orlando's points coming from long range. Orlando was down by 24 in the third quarter and went on a 40-9 run to beat the Heat and rack up its second-biggest comeback in team history.
