Heating back up

The Heat finally nabbed a win on Thursday, and it came against the defending NBA champion Lakers. And in men's college basketball, the excitement of the Big East tournament continued as UConn's Kemba Walker hit the game-winning shot to stun No. 3 Pittsburgh. Here's what else you missed last night.

NBA: Miami Heat finally put a stop to its losing streak. The Heat beat the two-time defending NBA champion Lakers 94-88 Thursday night, snapping LA.'s eight-game winning streak. The win, which clinched a playoff spot for the Heat, was the first for Miami in the month of March. The Heat had lost five straight coming into Thursday's contest. Chris Bosh led Miami with 24 points, Dwyane Wade finished the night with 20, and the Heat completed a season sweep of the Lakers.
