Wisconsin stifles BU, captures national title

Wisconsin captured its fourth women's hockey national championship in the past six years with a 4-1 victory over Boston University on Sunday.

ERIE, Pa. -- The Wisconsin women's hockey team arrived in Erie as the No. 1 team in the nation.

The Badgers left Erie as the No. 1 team in the nation.

The top-ranked and top-seeded Badgers stifled Boston University from start to finish of a 4-1 win in the NCAA Division I Frozen Four championship game on Sunday at Tullio Arena.

Wisconsin held BU to 16 shots on goal -- nearly half of the Terriers' total in their semifinal win against Cornell on Friday night. ...
