Top team tumbles

Even though it was an off night in the NCAA tournament, the basketball courts were still active with a total 12 NBA games in action Wednesday. The Nuggets upset the NBA-leading Spurs, and the Knicks continued their slide, falling below .500 for the first time in months. Here's what else you missed last night.

NBA: Even though both the men's and women's NCAA tournaments were on hiatus, there was still plenty of basketball action Wednesday night. The Spurs didn't fare so well in their first game without Tim Duncan. San Antonio, the best team in the NBA, was upset 115-112 by Denver, which sits in fifth place in the West. Duncan, who is out indefinitely, sprained his ankle in Monday's victory over Golden State. ... The Knicks fell below .500 for the first time since Nov. 27, after being defeated 111-99 ...
