Making a case for No. 1

The first session of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) is in the books. The Boo Williams Sportsplex is an outstanding facility to evaluate talent and we learned a lot about some of the top players in the 2012, 2013 & 2014 classes. Nike has done a great job with this event. The competitive environment, where every game counts, sheds some good insight about a player's ability to fight through adversity while it also affords some under-the-radar players the opportunity to showcase their talents against some of the elite players at their position. There were a few players that caught my attention and it will be interesting to follow their development through the spring and summer evaluation periods. During the week I am going to be blogging on some observations from the weekend.
