Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Chad Billingsley fanned 11 St. Louis Cardinals hitters over eight shutout innings Sunday, allowing only two hits in a no-decision. Fortunately, Billingsley wasn't being dropped by fantasy owners due to his slow start, and good for them; he's now up to 24 strikeouts in 22 innings, and I still have hope that one of these seasons he'll be an ace.

Oakland Athletics right-hander Trevor Cahill bounced back from a rough outing earlier in the week with a terrific one Sunday, striking out nine over eight innings of one-run ball. Cahill continues to surprisingly pile on the strikeouts, with 27 in 25 1/3 innings. Cahill's current strikeout rate is nearly double his career mark.
