Another A's in the hole?
Brett Anderson's curveball seemed to start somewhere over the suspension of the Golden Gate Bridge on Tuesday night, before veering back across San Francisco Bay and into Alameda County, dissecting the strike zone along the way before almost nicking the shoelaces of the right-handed hitters.
The Oakland left-hander had filthy stuff in shutting down the Red Sox, the kind of stuff that rotation mates Trevor Cahill and Gio Gonzalez have been throwing. They have been carrying the load for the Athletics this year and must continue to do so, especially in the aftermath of Dallas Braden's shoulder injury.
