Corey Freeman to miss spring game

Michigan State defensive end Corey Freeman has been suspended for Saturday's spring game after being ticketed Monday for driving on a suspended license and for not disclosing to a police officer that he was carrying a concealed weapon.

Freeman, a junior from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, appeared in 11 games last season and recorded six tackles (two tackles for loss).

He faces a maximum penalty of 93 days in jail and a $500 fine for the charge of driving on a suspended license. He could ...
