Each Monday, Matt Williamson of Scouts Inc. breaks down a key position group in a division. Last week, he reviewed NFC South defensive lines. Today, he reviews and ranks the AFC West defensive lines from best to worst.

1. Oakland Raiders

Few seem to realize it, but the Raiders have one heck of a defensive line, a very versatile unit than can play a 4-3 or a 3-4. Expect to see more odd fronts in the future -- having such options is obviously very valuable. Oakland was an exceptional defense versus the run last season while also showing a very strong ability to pressure the quarterback. There is no reason to think that will change in 2011.
