PARIS -- Roger Federer plays his record 28th straight Grand Slam quarterfinal Tuesday, facing home favorite Gael Monfils. The Frenchman is the most athletic and acrobatic player on the men's tour and draws a lot of inspiration from the local crowds. But he is undisciplined and tends to stay too far behind the baseline.
