College football: Anytime a head coach resigns in the midst of a scandal, it's not really surprising. But the finality of Jim Tressel announcing that he was leaving his post as head coach of the Buckeyes on Monday was still a shock to the system. Tressel, who led Ohio State to its first national title in more than 30 years, stepped down amid mounting revelations stemming from a tattoo-parlor scandal, where some of Tressel's players traded memorabilia for tattoos or cash.
