New York Yankees right-hander Bartolo Colon tossed a four-hit shutout against the Oakland Athletics on Monday, his first shutout in nearly five years. Now 38 years old and ignored in fantasy drafts this season, Colon is owned in 37.7 percent of ESPN standard leagues. His ownership should be more, though; his ERA is 3.26, his strikeout rate is strong and six of his eight starts have been quality ones. He's looking reliable.

New York Mets outfielder Angel Pagan hit three singles in five at-bats Monday, raising his batting average to .209. Ho-hum. Then again, Pagan is 7-for-17 with two RBIs, two stolen bases and four runs scored in four games since coming off the disabled list Friday. He has raised his batting average 50 points, and he's still available in 61.4 percent of standard leagues. Pagan is definitely a top-50 outfielder.
