The odds of advancing to the College World Series for each of the 64 regional teams

There's a lot more to a 64-team bracket than a simple ranking of the 64 teams. Every choice that the NCAA selection committee made -- giving out national seeds, awarding host sites, placing the 4-seeds -- affects some team's chance at making it to Omaha. In each regional bracket, teams have only a few games to prove themselves, and their first-round opponents can be enough to make a difference between a super regional and an early exit.

Earlier this week, I wrote about the upset potential of the Los Angeles, Austin, Tempe and Clemson regionals, where several dangerous second- and third-seeded teams threaten to topple their hosts. Today, we'll take a closer look, using my bracket simulations to attach numbers to the predictions.

The national favorites
