Martinez: 'I'm just glad teams want me'
TORONTO -- Dave Martinez was traded from Texas to Toronto on Friday night, tying a major-league record by joining his fourth team this season.
The 35-year-old was acquired by Texas from the Chicago Cubs on June 9. He started the season with Tampa Bay. The Blue Jays acquired the outfielder for a player to be named later.
"It's part of the game. It happens," Martinez said. "I'm just glad teams want me."
