Cole Hamels will make next start

PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Phillies starter Cole Hamels left Thursday's game against the Boston Red Sox after four innings after taking an Adrian Gonzalez line drive off his non-pitching hand.

Hamels was taken for X-rays, which were negative. He declined to comment after the game and did not appear in the Phillies clubhouse. Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said the pitcher suffered a "real good bruise" under his thumb and that his hand was bandaged. But Hamels was able to move his ...
