Height holding back OL Morrill

Shortly after the final day of the Boston College camp he attended, offensive lineman Alexander Morrill (Lebanon. N.H./Lebanon) received the bad news from BC offensive line coach Sean Devine.

Devine didn't tell Morrill that he wasn't good enough to play at the FBS level. The news was worse than that.

"He said, 'You have the ability to play Division I football, you're just not tall enough to play here,'" Morrill recalled. "I've heard that from a lot of coaches. They tell me they like what they see, but the big thing is my height [Morrill is 6-foot-2, 300 pounds]. They don't think I'm tall enough to play Division I.
