As a kid, you longed for summer, counting down the days. But as a grown athlete -- pro or recreational -- summer has come to mean sweltering heat and trying to hold on until training-friendly fall comes around. All the hot weather, low motivation and meh performances can leave you feeling as fried as an egg on a sidewalk in July.
