Braves hold out Chipper Jones
ATLANTA -- Braves third baseman Chipper Jones is not starting against the Giants after hurting his left knee while running to first base as a pinch-hitter Sunday.
Jones said he had an MRI on the knee on Monday and was relieved the test did not reveal a significant injury. He says he needed pain medication to sleep on Sunday night.
He says his knee did not buckle when he hit the first base bag in a game against the Cubs.
