The Butler Bulldogs played in back-to-back national title games but regardless of their on-the-court success, coach Brad Stevens will not deviate from his recruiting plan.

It seems natural, from a fan's perspective, to raise recruiting expectations and begin targeting high-major, top-100 players. One problem: that's not the formula for success at Butler. The formula is to recruit skilled players, with good character, an identifiable skill set and aptitude for the game. It just so happens that over the weekend, an ESPNU 100 player fit all the criteria and committed.

Nolan Berry (St. Louis/DeSmet Jesuit), a 6-foot-8 power forward, committed to the Bulldogs after unofficially visiting Boston College and Butler last weekend.
