"Michael might have played the game maybe more athletically than Jerry did, but there wasn't a better clutch player in the history of the NBA than Jerry West," says Pat Riley on ESPN Classic's SportsCentury series.

Season after season, the Boston Celtics won the championship trophy, and Jerry West took home the consolation prize: praise for the runner-up. West would play brilliantly in the NBA playoffs, only to finish short of his goal.
