Why the WTA should thank its lucky stars
The WTA took a big risk by throwing in with the nation of Turkey as the host for its (ongoing) year-end WTA Championships until the year 2013. In a not-unrelated development, it also took an enormous payout (reportedly, $42 million for three years) from the promoters at Istanbul.
