Impact of Boudreau hire on Bobby Ryan

Anaheim Ducks GM Bob Murray made his move, and it wasn't a blockbuster trade. By firing coach Randy Carlyle on Wednesday night and hiring Bruce Boudreau, whose unemployment didn't even reach a week, Murray gets the shakeup he desired for his team.

So the next logical question focuses on Bobby Ryan. Does the Boudreau hire immediately end the Ryan trade rumors? It should. When Boudreau's Capitals were at their best, it was when they were flying with a high-octane offense. He has the horses in Anaheim to duplicate that kind of success with Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, Teemu Selanne and Ryan. It would make the most sense to keep them all around during the transition from Carlyle to Boudreau.
