Bits: Dodgers closer situation in flux

Atlanta Braves right-hander Tim Hudson tossed five innings of two-run ball Sunday in his first start of the season. Hudson missed essentially four April starts recovering from back (herniated disk) surgery and performed well in his rehab starts. Hudson finished the 2011 season 17th among all starting pitchers, and it's reasonable to presume he's healthy and good enough to be owned in all leagues.

New York Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher left Sunday's game early with a low-grade hamstring strain and is expected to miss a few games. Swisher walked and struck out in two plate appearances, a day after hitting a pair of solo home runs. Swisher has been a consistent fantasy provider for years, but those in weekly leagues might want to sit him in case a few games turns into a DL stint.
