Raymond Bitar arrested upon arrival
NEW YORK -- The founder of an Internet poker company whose U.S. operations were shut down after criminal charges were brought last year has surrendered in New York.
Authorities say Raymond Bitar was arrested Monday as he arrived at Kennedy Airport.
Prosecutors sought detention without bail. A magistrate judge says she's inclined to grant bail.
A prosecutor calls Bitar a flight risk since it took him 14
months to return to the United States from Ireland to face charges.
