Dodgers talk to Murray about job

BALTIMORE -- The Los Angeles Dodgers interviewed Orioles first base coach Eddie Murray about their vacant manager's job, and Orioles bench coach Jeff Newman was given permission to talk with the Philadelphia Phillies, who also are seeking a manager.

Murray met with Dodgers officials on Thursday. He interviewed last October to succeed Ray Miller as Orioles manager, and retained his position on the coaching staff when Mike Hargrove got the job.
