Phil Ivey eliminated on Day 2B

LAS VEGAS -- The world's top-ranked poker player will not be the 2012 WSOP main event champion.

Phil Ivey entered Day 2B with one of the shortest stacks among the 2,300-plus players in action on Wednesday and was eliminated during the first hour of play.

Ivey moved all-in with 2-2 and was called by Nick DiVella who held A-10. With all eyes focused on the board, the race ended in a hurry. The flop came A-10-8 and Ivey was already moving toward the exit. The ...
