Way-Rod still average in Pittsburgh
Looking solely at season numbers, the Pittsburgh Pirates certainly seemed to need an offensive upgrade or two as opposed to more starting pitching, not that any team can ever have enough of the latter. So it was that Tuesday night's trade of reliable, veteran left-hander Wandy Rodriguez from the woebegone Houston Astros to the contending Pirates for a trio of potentially interesting prospects seems a bit odd.
