Ike Davis stays hot; Loney has AL debut

• New York Mets first baseman Ike Davis stroked a pair of solo home runs Sunday, including the ninth-inning game-winner, and now has 24 on the season, a pace for 30. Davis has notably struggled this year, but his current .223 batting average is, on the bright side, a season-best, and it's .295 in August. Davis still projects as a .275 hitter in the future, so don't write him off in 2013.
